ILLIT’s ‘Magnetic’ Soars into the Top 10 on the US Billboard 200

ILLIT

ILLIT is on a roll! In just a few days since their debut, the group has already shattered records that typically take other groups many years to achieve.

According to the latest chart from Billboard, an American music media outlet, shared on their official social media on April 8, ILLIT’s title track Magnetic from their 1st mini album SUPER REAL ME secured the 8th spot on the Global 200 chart and the 2nd spot on the Global (excluding the United States)chart.

This track soared 55 and 31 positions on the respective charts compared to the previous week, making it the highest debut song ever for a K-pop group.

Billboard reported that Magnetic by Illit garnered 56.3 million streams and over 3,000 music sales (downloads) within a week (according to the Global 200).

Global 200 is a chart established by Billboard that shows the most recent trends in the music market and serves as a key indicator of global popularity.

In contrast to the ‘Hot 100’ chart, which considers broadcast scores and album sales, the Global 200 ranks based on streaming and sales data from over 200 countries/regions worldwide, including the United States.

In addition, ILLIT’s music prowess is evident across various charts both domestically and internationally. Magnetic secured the 63rd spot on the recent Spotify ‘Weekly Top Songs US’ and the 80th position on the UK’s Official Singles ‘Top 100’.

Lastly, it clinched the top spots, ranking 1st and 3rd on the weekly charts of major local music platforms like Bugs and Melon (for the period of April 1-7). This track also achieved the 6th position on the Genie weekly chart for the same duration.
