ILLIT’s breakout member Wonhee is set to star in SBS’ hotly anticipated drama Spring of Youth, set to premiere next month.
The 17-year-old K-pop star from HYBE’s newest girl group, ILLIT, will make a special appearance in the youth drama. Remarkably, she landed a special role in the drama just a year into her drama.
On April 24, the production team revealed, “Wonhee gladly accepted the request for a special appearance.”
In recent stills, she is seen wearing a casual yet stylish outfit consisting of a white T-shirt, jeans, and a checkered shirt. Her natural, makeup-free look seems to add to her appeal.
Just when we thought “Spring of Youth” couldn’t get more stacked, FT Island’s Lee Hong Ki, the Jeremy from “You’re Beautiful” is also making a cameo. The iconic idol actor will make his long-awaited drama return alongside rookie sensation Wonhee.
The drama “Spring of Youth” follows Sa Gye (Ha Yu Jun), a K-pop idol who enrolls in university after an accident and meets Kim Bom (Park Ji Hu), a talented musician. They form a bond over music, and Sa Gye starts a new band. Their musical journey is complicated by Seo Tae Yang (Lee Seung Hyub), a guitarist and med student, who becomes a rival and potential love interest.
As a 17-year-old South Korean singer under BELIFT Lab, Wonhee has already gained attention for her pure smile, adorable personality, and energetic performances with ILLIT. She debuted with EP “Super Real Me” and smash hit “Magnetic” on March 25, 2025.
Meanwhile, “Spring of Youth” will premiere on May 6-7 with a special broadcast and will air every Wednesday at 10:40 PM thereafter.
