K-pop and ITZY fans have been waiting for this moment for a long time. After seven years of performing with ITZY, one of the group’s standout members Yeji is finally gearing up for a solo debut.
On January 17, Xport News reported that the 24-year-old K-pop star is preparing to debut as a solo artist.
Shortly after the rumors went viral, a JYP Entertainment representative revealed to Dispatch, “Yeji is preparing for ITZY’s first solo debut. The exact timeline is undecided. We will announce the specific schedule later.”
ITZY’s leader and main dancer is set to become the group’s first solo artist. As the group’s leader, she has shown impressive skills in live performances and music videos. After seven years of experience since her debut with the group, she now explores a new path as a solo artist.
ITZY burst onto the scene in 2019 with their debut single “DALLA DALLA,” and since then, they have been on a roll. Every song they have released has been a huge hit, from “Domino” to “WANNABE,” “LOCO,” “Psychic Power,” and “Sneakers.”
In 2024, ITZY dropped their 9th mini album ‘GOLD‘, featuring the dual title tracks ‘GOLD’ and ‘Imaginary Friend’. They will make more comebacks this year and entertain fans with various activities including the long-awaited Yeji’s solo debut.
