The long-awaited Netflix Kdrama “When Life Gives You Tangerines” starring IU and Park Bo Gum has finally announced its release date.
On January 23, the streaming giant dropped the first poster and trailer along with the announcement of the release date.
Set on the stunning Jeju Island, the Netflix series “When Life Gives You Tangerines” follows the thrilling adventures of Ae Sun, a fearless rebel, and Gwan Sik, a determined and strong-willed individual.
The latest poster for the drama captures the perfect spring vibe, with IU and Park Bo Gum’s characters holding hands in a breathtaking yellow rapeseed flower field. They are dressed in school uniforms and gym wear. The poster radiates a fresh, youthful energy that hints at the exciting adventures to come.
As stated earlier, the poster shows Ae Sun and Gwan-sik holding hands in a field, but their expressions are noticeably different. Ae Sun looks relaxed and at ease, while Gwan Sik appears stiff and formal, which raises questions about their relationship.
The tagline “To you who are still like flower petals and still dreaming” suggests that the story will be about the characters’ youthful dreams and aspirations.
The trailer gives viewers a glimpse into life on Jeju Island, where they grew up. It shows scenes of rapeseed fields, bustling markets, and the ocean, with lively music playing in the background
Ae Sun and Gwan Sik’s relationship is portrayed as complex and multifaceted. At times, they seem affectionate and tender, helping each other with small tasks like putting on shoes or arranging flowers. However, they also have their disagreements and fights, which are depicted as intense and emotional.
“When Life Gives You Tangerines” starring IU and Park Bo Gum will be available to stream on Netflix starting March 7.
