IU’s agency, EDAM Entertainment, dropped a teaser video for Shopper, the double title track of IU’s upcoming mini album The Winning. They shared it on their official social media accounts at midnight on February 14.
In the music video teaser released today, the narration begins with the description of a unique store. This store stands out from the ordinary, filled with exceptionally special products. The scene is set in a supermarket on a dark night, creating intrigue and capturing attention.
In the teaser, IU is seen inside a dimly lit store, holding a telescope and making eye contact with the camera. Suddenly, the lights illuminate the scene, and the background transforms into an unfamiliar space. Multiple quick scenes play out, intensifying the viewers’ curiosity.
Shopper is an electrifying blend of pop and rock, featuring a dynamic and powerful sound. The cool guitar riffs and seamless transitions keep the listener engaged throughout. IU’s vocals shine in the chorus, hitting impressive high notes that showcase her unique talent and abilities.
This music video for Shopper was directed by DPR IAN, who is both an artist and a music video director at DPR. He took charge of everything from directing to editing and post-production, all done internally at DPR.
