The numbers are in, and IVE’s 3rd mini album “IVE EMPATHY” is selling like hotcakes!
The 6-member K-pop girl group released their third EP “IVE EMPATHY” on February 3 with two title tracks “REBEL HEART” and “ATTITUDE”.
They have maintained their momentum and achieved their third-highest 1st-day sales with the latest release. IVE sold 619,103 copies of “IVE EMPATHY” on the release day, only surpassed by “I’VE MINE” (726,455) and “IVE SWITCH” (746,118).
Their other albums, “After LIKE”, “LOVE DIVE”, and “ELEVEN”, also did well with 464,690, 120,345, and 56,209 copies sold, respectively.
The album contains six songs including “Flu”, “Rebel Heart”, “Attitude”, “You Wanna Cry”, “Thank U”, and “TKO”. One of the lead singles “Rebel Heart” was dropped on January 13, and it took over the music charts.
‘Rebel Heart’ combines soothing vocal harmonies, a memorable chorus, and a lively instrumental arrangement of strings and drums to deliver the feeling of comfort and empathy.
As of February 4th, it achieved perfect all-kill by occupying the number one spot on Melon, Genie, Bugs, and Vibe’s real-time and Top 100 charts.
The other lead single ‘Attitude’ is about accepting things that are outside of your control and choosing to focus on what you can control – your attitude.
The album “IVE EMAPTHY” debuted at #3 on the Worldwide iTunes album chart. The title track “Attitude” topped iTunes charts in many regions and the music video has surpassed 7 million views.
Meanwhile, IVE is currently appearing on music shows and entertainment programs as part of the promotional activities. The group has scheduled appearances on many popular variety shows to promote their album and talk about what went behind the scenes.
