j-hope has dropped some seriously catchy and bold music after his military discharge in October 2024. Since then, he has released three songs including Sweet Dreams (ft. Miguel), Mona Lisa, and now Killin’ It Girl (ft. GloRilla). All of his solo singles charted on Spotify, Apple Music, UK Singles, and Billboard charts.
Killin’ It Girl ft. GloRilla was dropped on Friday, June 13, on BTS’s 12th debut anniversary. Immediately after its release, the song topped the iTunes Top Song Chart in 60+ countries and occupied first and second place on the Worldwide iTunes Chart and European iTunes Chart, respectively.
On June 23 (local time), Billboard released the latest chart and j-hope’s Killin’ It Girl (ft. GloRilla) landed at No. 40 on the HOT 100. This is his highest Billboard HOT 100 debut, surpassing his previous peak of No. 60 with on the street (with J. Cole) in 2023. It settled at No. 2 and No. 3 on Billboard Global Excl. US and Billboard Global, respectively.
With this achievement, the BTS rapper now claims the top three highest Hot 100 debuts by a K-pop act this year, with Sweet Dreams debuting at #66, Mona Lisa at #65, and Killin’ It Girl at #40. His other songs to chart on Billboard HOT 100 are Chicken Noodle Soup (#81), More (#82), LV Bag (#83), and Arson (#96).
j-hope also recorded his highest-charting entry on the UK Official Singles Chart with this new song, debuting at #30. It debuted at the Global Spotify Weekly Songs Chart at No. 24 with 17.4 million filtered streams. With 2.9 million streams on day five, ‘Killin’ It Girl’ peaked at #11 on the Global Spotify Chart. The music video has surpassed 19 million views on YouTube so far.
Meanwhile, j-hope concluded his first-ever solo tour HOPE ON THE STAGE on June 14. As all BTS members have been discharged, they will continue solo activities, with a full group comeback expected in March 2026.
