j-hope has treated ARMYs more than once this year with some infectious music!
While Sweet Dreams and Mona Lisa are still charting, the BTS rapper and dancer will release another single, Killin’ It Girl ft. GloRilla.
On May 29 at midnight, BIGHIT MUSIC made the exciting announcement with the 1st teaser and promotional schedule on social media channels.
As described by BIGHIT MUSIC, the new hip-hop song, Killin’ It Girl, “vividly expresses the thrill of love at first sight.” It also conveys the “experience of gazing at a confident and charming partner.”
GloRilla (aka Gloria Hallelujah Woods) is a 25-year-old American rapper, known for songs like NFN (Let’s Go), TGIF, Yeah Glo!, and more.
Apart from his collaboration with American rapper GloRilla, a solo version of the song will also be released simultaneously. This is j-hope’s fourth musical release since being discharged from the military on October 17, 2024.
To make it more meaningful, the 31-year-old rapper will release the new song on BTS’ 12th debut anniversary, June 13, 2025. BIGHIT MUSIC will release concept photos on May 29 followed by an MV teaser on June 8 and the song release on June 13.
That’s not all, fans will get to see j-hope perform Killin’ It Girl during the HOPE ON THE STAGE encore concert on June 13 and 14 in Goyang. An official choreography version of the music video will be out on June 15.
Special promotional content related to the song is scheduled to be released on June 19, 20, 21, 22, and July 5.
Earlier this year, he participated as a featured artist along with Pharrell Williams on LV Bag, a song by Don Toliver. While it was played during the LV Paris Fashion Week show in January, the song was officially released in late February and charted at No.83 on Billboard HOT 100.
Ahead of kicking off the North American leg of the world tour HOPE ON THE STAGE, j-hope released another banger, Sweet Dreams ft. Miguel, debuted at No.66 on HOT 100. After the release of Sweet Dreams, he promised to drop two more songs this year.
Staying true to his word, j-hope dropped Mona Lisa on February 21, 2025, and scored the 7th HOT 100 entry at No. 65. The MORE rapper is ready to shake the charts again and will celebrate BTS’s 12th debut anniversary and the finale of his first-ever world tour with a special gift to fans.
This BTS debut anniversary is going to be extra special as four members (RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook) will return just in time to take part in the celebrations. Fans might see them grooving to j-hope’s songs at his encore concerts in Goyang, South Korea.
Meanwhile, j-hope will drop Killin’ It Girl (feat. GloRilla) on June 13 at 6 AM ET.
