On August 16, his agency, Craft42 ENT revealed the news to fans, stating, “Jang Keun Suk was diagnosed with thyroid cancer around October 2023. After consulting with the medical staff, he completed some of his scheduled activities and underwent surgery in May.”
According to his agency, his surgery was successful and he has regained his health. He is now undergoing regular testing and taking care of himself to maintain his health.
Jang Keun Suk recently shared a video on his YouTube channel, revealing a personal health update. He shared that he was diagnosed with thyroid cancer a year ago but had kept it private to avoid causing worry. The video was filmed two weeks after the surgery.
After the successful surgery, he revealed his plans to go on a trip to celebrate recovery.
On the work front, Jang Keun Suk recently made an appearance in Netflix’s variety show, The Influencer.
