Jeon Somi is once again joining the summer comeback battle with a special summer single.
Before the announcement of the single, THE BLACK LABEL announced Jeon Somi’s comeback date, August 2.
Shortly after a few hours, two playful teasers for the upcoming single, Ice Cream, were dropped on social media accounts.
In the posters, the Fast Forward singer is dressed as an ice cream shop worker sitting on a counter wearing a bold red uniform. Also, there are all kinds of ice cream flavors written on the side like Vanilla, Choco, Melon, Peppermint, and more.
She is set to make a highly-anticipated comeback after a year, following her debut EP GAME PLAN in August 2023. Her previous title song ‘Fast Forward’ showcased her unique charm, leaving fans curious about what’s to come. This comeback is particularly noteworthy as it’s her first since the music video plagiarism controversy last year.
Her Fast Forward video was accused of tracing a character from the Japanese manga Ursuyoshi Yatsura. She deleted the controversial scene, added the new part, and apologized for the oversight.
Lastly, Jeon Somi is set to release Ice Cream on August 2 at 1 PM KST.
