Jeon Somi, a K-pop artist, has ventured into the world of cosmetics with the launch of her own brand, GLYF.
What was most unexpected was that the first product turned out to be a highlighter palette, which isn’t typically considered a must-have makeup item.
The palette costs 43,000 Won and features four shades: TRALALA, EDWARD, UMPH, and KRISP.
The Fast Forward singer revealed the reason behind launching highlighter as the first makeup product, saying, “In fact, highlighters are not a product that is absolutely indispensable to makeup like base or lip products. But when I do my own makeup, I feel the most joy from using the highlighter.”
She further added, “I usually mix products from 3 to 4 brands to achieve the perfect expression, and it would be nice to create a product that combines all of them into one product.”
About future products for GLYF, Jeon Somi shared, “We are also planning future products, but I don’t think they will have the feel of products from makeup brands that we usually think of.” She continued, “Since I am a very spontaneous person, the next product will not be what everyone expects.”
In other news, Somi recently appeared on CNN to promote Korean culture.
