Jessi’s contract with DOD Entertainment has been mutually terminated, merely one month after signing.

On October 18, DOD Entertainment announced the news of contract termination, stating, “We have had extensive discussions with Jessi about her future activities, and after careful consideration, we have decided to terminate our exclusive contract effective October 18, 2024, at Jessi’s request.”

The “Gum” singer promised a fresh start with her partnership with DOD and independent label, UNNI, on September 20. In less than a month, their collaboration has come to an abrupt end. Previously, she was signed with Jay Park’s agency MORE VISION after contract expiration with PSY’s P NATION.

Recently, allegations surfaced regarding Jessi’s response to an incident involving fan assault. According to police reports, a minor fan was assaulted by an associate of Jessi’s on September 29 in Apgujeong-dong, Gangnam-gu, while requesting a photo.

According to reports, she was nearby when the assault occurred. Witnesses claim she gestured to stop the fight before departing.

Authorities responded to the scene and questioned her entourage about the assailant’s location. However, they stated they did not know.

Her team clarified that the assailant has no affiliation with Jessi or her team. The only connection is a mutual friend with one of her producers.

Another alleged victim recently came forward and revealed being assaulted by Jessi and her group in 2013.
