Jessi is set to pursue her music career on her own terms!

After parting ways with PSY’s P NATION and Jay Park’s MORE VISION, the 35-year-old rapper has taken a bold decision to set up her personal label.

On September 20, DOD Entertainment announced their partnership with her, saying, “Jessi has recently signed a label and management contract with comprehensive entertainment company DOD” and “will make a new leap forward by establishing her independent label, ‘UNNI’.”

A DOD official shared, “Jessi has established a corporation called ‘UNNI’ for independent activities tailored to her musical style. With this label and management contract, she plans to engage in more diverse activities.”

They vowed to fully support her and showcase her talent in various fields, not just music.

The Gum singer parted ways with MORE VISION in January this year. However, she remained on good terms with the agency’s CEO Jay Park, and collaborated with him on his single, Xtra McNasty in July.

With 19 years in the industry, Jessi has proven her talents in the music and entertainment industry. Formerly of Uptown and Lucky J, she’s now a successful solo artist with hits like NUNU NANA, Cold Blooded, and Zoom.

She has also been part of variety shows like Hangout with Yoo and Sixth Sense.

Lastly, her new agency DOD Entertainment is home to artists such as BTOB’s Seo Eunkwang, Lee Minhyuk, Lim Hyunsik, and Peniel, former members of MOMOLAND’s Nancy, and NMIXX’s Jini.
