Ji Ye Eun will temporarily halt her professional activities to focus on her health, beginning in September. Her agency, CP Entertainment, announced on August 26 that she will step back from her work to rest and recover.
The agency added that the duration of her hiatus remains undecided, and emphasized that they will provide full support to ensure a smooth return once she’s ready.
“Actress Ji Ye Eun plans to focus on her health recovery by taking care of her physical condition starting next month. CP Entertainment will provide all necessary support for the actress to take sufficient rest and return to her work. Additionally, the duration of her break is currently undetermined.
Since making her debut in SNL Korea, Ji has become a familiar face in Korean entertainment. She has appeared in dramas such as Good Partner, Yellow, and How-To. Last year, she also secured a role as a regular cast member on the long-running variety show Running Man.
In 2025, she also starred in the Netflix variety series Kian’s Bizarre B&B, joining webtoon artist Kian84 and BTS’s Jin to host guests at an extraordinary ocean-side B&B built atop Ulleungdo’s waters.
Ji Ye-eun’s rising popularity and positive public image were formally acknowledged with the Good Influence Award at the 4th Blue Dragon Series Awards in July. Referring to the honor, she modestly joked, “I guess it’s not an entertainment award… I can’t believe I’m a good influence… Me? Yes, I think so too.”
Meanwhile, fans have sent a lot of heartwarming messages and wishes for her speedy recovery.
