j-hope kicked off his two-day encore concert “HOPE ON THE STAGE” in Seoul with an unforgettable show that doubled as a celebration of BTS’ 12th debut anniversary.
The special night became even more memorable when fellow members Jungkook and Jin made surprise appearances, sending the crowd at KSPO Dome into a frenzy. All BTS members – RM, Jimin, V, Jin, Jungkook, and Suga – were present in the audience to support their bandmate.
The 31-year-old rapper opened the night with fan favorites like ‘What if…,’ ‘Pandora’s Box,’ ‘Arson,’ ‘Stop,’ ‘on the street,’ and ‘lock/unlock’.
The excitement peaked when Jungkook, freshly discharged from military service on June 11, joined him for a heartfelt performance of ‘i wonder…’. The Golden Maknae then treated fans to his solo hit ‘Seven’, with j-hope stepping in to deliver Latto’s rap verses.
Jungkook shared his nervousness with the audience, saying,
I was so nervous backstage. It’s been a year and 6 months, right? I really missed you, seriously. I’m wondering if it’s okay that I’m here. It just feels like that. I do remember the memories from the past, but this is too much new for me.
After that, j-hope rocked out to his new songs such as ‘Killin’ It Girl,’ ‘Mona Lisa,’ and ‘Sweet Dreams’. Later, the rapper and dancer performed some of the classic BTS numbers such as ‘Airplane pt. 2’, ‘MIC Drop,’ ‘Baepsae,’ and more.
j-hope moved fans with his heartfelt remarks for his fellow BTS members, saying
I was looking at the members while performing the song. Always with them, right? They are such precious people to me. If it weren’t for them I wouldn’t be here. And also the members who joined me. For this show, all members visited. I love you. I am so so thankful to my members.
Jin joined j-hope towards the end of the encore concert and sang ‘Spring Day’. He moved on to sing ‘Don’t Say You Love Me,’ the title track from his newly released album ‘Echo’. The trio of j-hope, Jin, and Jungkook then reunited for a special rendition of their 2019 collaboration ‘Jamais Vu’, creating one of the night’s most touching moments.
The concert concluded with an electrifying performance of ‘Neuron’. ARMYs were thrilled by the partial OT7 reunion and already guessing what surprises the second night might bring.
With RM, V, and Jimin in attendance, fans are hopeful they might join j-hope on stage for the final concert on June 14. The emotional night proved that even during their solo activities, the bond between BTS members remains as strong as ever.
Meanwhile, BTS members will likely resume solo activities and make a group comeback in late 2025 or early 2026.
