JinE, a former member of Oh My Girl, apologized once more for her comments about aespa member Karina dating Lee Jaewook.
The 29-year-old K-pop idol took to Instagram to share a heartfelt apology letter, saying, “I thought a lot about where to start. I couldn’t say anything about the growing story because the explanation would be an excuse,” and added, “I’m sorry.”
JinE went on to say, “I’m telling you this because I believe that I can’t just hide for those who believe in me and those who have been affected by this.”
Further, she explained the situation, “First of all, I’m extremely grateful for your positive attention and support, but I don’t think they posted it on my account for negative attention. I also don’t have a non-account. Most importantly, I admit that there was a mistake in the expression of my writing,” and added, “My original intention was to hear a lot of stories from all around me after the romantic relationship story.”
Lastly, JinE apologized once again for not being careful with her words, “As a member who was most interested in the group, I thought that words of criticism were exchanged, and I was upset because I knew my position better.”
She continued, “However, in the process, I used the expression “It’s a mess” to mean that everyone should stop,” and added, “I should have been careful with my words, but I couldn’t.” She apologized to the’people and fans who have been harmed by her words and actions.
Back when the news of Lee Jaewook and Karina dating surfaced, JinE shared an Instagram story with the caption, “Karina Karina Karina nandina (there’s an uproar) lol.”
Many fans criticized JinE for involving her in the situation and making fun of the Lee Jaewook and Karina dating news.
