Jung Ho Yeon has found a new home to pursue acting activities after she departed from her longtime agency Saram Entertainment.
The “Squid Game” breakout star announced her departure from the agency that she has been at since 2020 a few days back. Fans were looking forward to seeing her partner with a new agency.
Well, she has already inked a deal with BH Entertainment, home to Lee Byung Hun whom she has worked with in “Squid Game” season 1.
On January 17, BH Entertainment announced that they had signed an exclusive contract with the 30-year-old actress, stating, “We are pleased to be working with Jung Ho Yeon. Jung Ho Yeon is an actress with immense potential and a wide range of talents to showcase in the future.”
They continued, “We will work to support Jung Ho Yeon in becoming a globally beloved actress through our systematic and meticulous management system that covers both domestic and international markets.”
BH Entertainment manages the activities of Go Soo, Geum Sae Rok, Lee Byung Hun, Kim Go Eun, Park Bo Young, GOT7’s Jinyoung, Park Sung Hoon, Park Hae Soo, Jang Dong Yoon, Jung Woo, Jung Chaeyeon, Han Ji Min, Han Hyo Joo, Hong Hwa Yeon, and more.
Jung launched her career in 2011 as a model and rose to global fame with her acting debut in Netflix’s hit series “Squid Game” Season 1 as Kang Sae Byeok. For her portrayal of Kang Sae Byeok, she won the Best Actress Award at the 28th Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG) – a first for a Korean actor. She also received a nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series at the 74th Emmy Awards.
On the work front, Jung Ho Yeon has recently completed filming for director Na Hong Jin’s upcoming movie “Hope”. She also starred in the Apple TV+ series “Disclaimer” as Jisoo, assistant to Cate Blanchett’s character Catherine.
