Rumors are swirling that BTS’s Jungkook, 28, and aespa’s Winter, 24, might be dating. So far, neither of their agencies—BIGHIT MUSIC and SM Entertainment for Winter—have confirmed or denied the claims.
The speculation began when fans noticed that both idols have similar tattoos on their arms. The tattoos show three puppy faces, and some fans have called them “couple tattoos.”
Other details have fueled the rumors, including similarities in their in-ear monitors, accessories like bracelets and hats, nail polish colors, and even their Instagram usernames—“imwinter” for Winter and “imjungkook” for Jungkook (though it has since been changed).
The rumors gained more attention after Jungkook reportedly attended an aespa concert while on military leave. Fans also pointed out that this was unusual, as he had not previously attended concerts by other girl groups from the same company affiliates.
Dating rumors involving BTS members are not new. Earlier this year, Jimin faced similar speculation. The agency stayed silent for a few days before confirming his past relationship had ended.
In 2021, Jungkook also faced rumors involving actress Lee Yubi, which were quickly denied, and Winter denied dating ENHYPEN’s Jungwon in 2024. A few weeks earlier, an old video surfaced where the ‘Seven’ singer was seen entering his house with a girl. Some fans called the viral clip ‘AI-generated’ whereas others speculated on who the girl was.
The timing of this rumor is interesting because it comes on the same day news broke about a major legal investigation into HYBE Chairman Bang Si Hyuk, including a court freezing 156.8 billion won in assets. Many fans online have speculated whether the dating rumors are a distraction from the corporate news.
As of now, BIGHIT MUSIC has stated that they are “checking” the rumors. SM Entertainment has not released a statement regarding Winter. Fans are eagerly waiting for any confirmation, but the situation remains unverified.
Meanwhile, BTS has completed the production of their comeback album, slated for March 2026. This will be their first group release after completing military service in June.
