BTS’s Jungkook surprised fans by going live on Weverse on August 29, drawing an impressive 17.8 million viewers. Excitement doubled for ARMY when he was joined by bandmate V.
The duo, known as Taekook, joked and shared an amusing list of rules for ARMY for their Han River runs. They told fans what not to do when they spotted them working out at the Han River.
The most talked-about moment from the broadcast came when Jungkook candidly revealed that he has adult ADHD. The candid confession came after he noticed a fan’s comment telling him, “don’t move when you’re sitting down.” Laughing, Jungkook replied, “I kept moving? … It’s like adult ADHD. I have it. I keep moving like this.”
After his statement, ARMY members praised him for normalizing ADHD and sharing a personal aspect of his life.
ADHD, or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, is often associated with children, but it can continue into adulthood. Adult ADHD can cause restlessness, difficulty concentrating, impulsivity, and trouble sitting still. Many adults with ADHD also display coping mechanisms such as fidgeting, stimming, or multitasking to manage overstimulation.
Jungkook is not the first BTS member to mention ADHD. Suga has previously joked about his struggles with stillness, saying he “can’t meditate” because of ADHD-like tendencies.
On the work front, Jungkook, along with BTS members SUGA, RM, Jimin, and V, was discharged in mid-June. Since then, he has completed filming his travel variety show, “Are You Sure?!,” with Jimin in countries such as Vietnam and Switzerland.
In July, most members departed for LA to work on BTS’s forthcoming album, which will be released next year. Earlier, on July 1, BTS had thrilled fans with their first group livestream after military service and announced plans for a new album release and a large-scale world tour set for Spring 2026. They held another full-group live broadcast earlier this month to share that they are working hard on the album.
