BTS’s Jungkook showed up at the star-studded VIP premiere of The First Ride in Seoul. The event, held at Lotte Cinema World Tower, was meant to support his close friend and fellow 1997-liner, Cha Eunwoo, who stars in the film.
Jungkook arrived in an all-black outfit and styled it with silver jewelry. He brought along a life-size doll of Cha Eunwoo, who couldn’t attend because of his military service. The 28-year-old singer playfully posed with the doll on the red carpet, even making it do a military salute.
However, not long after the event, the focus shifted. Instead of his outfit or his thoughtful gesture, the conversation online turned to his face — particularly his nose.
Within hours, social media platforms like X (formerly Twitter) were flooded with posts comparing his recent photos to older ones. Some users claimed his nose looked “different” and speculated that he might have had plastic surgery.
Others posted side-by-side images and accused him of altering his looks. One user wrote, “Honestly? This guy needs to stop messing with his nose or he’ll end up like Michael Jackson.” Another said, “Rip Jungkook’s NOMABBLE NOSE I will miss you sm.”
Some said he’d had another procedure, while others argued he might have removed an old implant.
Jungkook and his agency, BIGHIT MUSIC, have never addressed the rumors, and there is no official evidence of any cosmetic work.
Speculation about Jungkook’s looks isn’t new. Since his debut, he has often been the subject of discussion about possible surgery, something that many idols face. Over the years, fans and experts have offered different explanations.
One Beverly Hills plastic surgeon who analyzed photos of BTS members years ago said Jungkook might have had “maybe some adjustments on his nose,” but stressed that it was hard to say for sure.
The doctor also made it clear that if there were any changes, they were minor and not the result of major cosmetic surgery. He pointed out that Jungkook’s face naturally changed as he grew older. He lost baby fat, developed sharper features, and matured from a teen into an adult.
Many ARMYs took to social media to defend the “Seven” singer. They said that the perceived difference in his appearance likely came from lighting, camera angles, or even makeup and contouring.
Others mentioned his recent weight loss and the fact that facial features can look different depending on photo conditions. Several fans also reminded others that even if he did make changes, it’s his personal decision. They argued that his talent should be the focus, not his looks.
In other news, Jungkook’s group BTS prepares for a long-awaited comeback and a massive world tour with reportedly 65 shows. According to recent reports and what RM said at a charity gala, the album will likely be released in late March 2026.
