Jungkook’s ‘GOLDEN’ has made a remarkable impact on the US Billboard Chart, securing an impressive 2nd place position.
On November 12, it was announced that his album made an impressive debut on the ‘Billboard 200’ chart, landing at number 2, with sales of 210,200 copies in its first week.
‘Billboard 200’ chart calculates album rankings by combining various factors. It takes into account traditional album sales, including physical copies, as well as the number of streams converted to album sales (SEA) and the number of digital music downloads converted to album sales (TEA).
According to Billboard, Jungkook’s album GOLDEN had some impressive sales numbers. It sold a total of 164,800 copies, with 29,800 copies from streams (SEA) and 15,600 copies from digital music downloads (TEA).
Billboard mentioned that the album’s sales were mainly driven by CD purchases, with 128,500 CDs sold and 36,300 digital download albums sold.
The 3D singer is now the sixth member of BTS to make it into the top 10 of the ‘Billboard 200’ chart. Before him, V, Jimin, and SUGA achieved the impressive feat of ranking second on the chart, while RM reached the third spot and J-Hope secured the sixth position.
