Rapper Jvcki Wai has reversed her stance on dating violence allegations against her ex-boyfriend and producer Vangdale.
On January 7, 2026, she announced through her channel that she would not take legal action. The 29-year-old rapper apologized to anyone who felt uncomfortable because of the situation and asked the public to avoid spreading exaggerated versions of her story.
“I also request you to avoid excessive criticism or speculation directed at the other party. Since this was a personal matter, I want to quietly resolve it and move on,” Jvcki Wai said. She also denied claims that she had been threatened with a weapon or stalked persistently.
The announcement comes weeks after the Hip-Hop artist first shared photos of her bruised arms, legs, and face on December 12, 2025. At the time, she wrote, “I couldn’t leave the house for two weeks.” She described alleged incidents in which she was prevented from leaving her ex’s home.
Vangdale was identified by the public following these posts. Jvcki Wai claimed he had knocked on her door for an hour and restricted her movements, while also alleging assault.
AOMG, her agency, confirmed at the time that Jvcki Wai had reported being a victim of violence during her relationship and said the matter was under legal review. They stated the matter “will be handled through legal procedures” and that they are providing full support, including legal counsel.
Vangdale, meanwhile, denied the allegations. He stated on social media that he was actually the one who had been verbally and physically assaulted. He asserted that he was the one who was “beaten and cursed” and that the injuries Jackie Wai photographed occurred when he was “trying to stop her from causing a scene.”
Jvcki Wai and Vangdale also have a close professional history. Jvcki Wai, whose real name is Hong Xia, debuted in 2016 and joined AOMG in 2022. Vangdale, whose real name is Bang Jinwoo, is a producer under KC Label and was named Producer of the Year at the Korean Hip-hop Awards in 2025.
He produced all the songs on Jvcki Wai’s full-length album MOLLAK, released in July last year, and the two previously collaborated on the single Spoil U in February 2025.
Jvcki Wai’s sudden change of stance raises questions about why she made this decision. While she says she wants privacy, the reasons could include the stress of a public legal battle, a private agreement, or pressure from personal or professional sources.
