K-Soul has shocked fans by revealing that he was blindsided by his own departure from FANTASY BOYS.
After nearly 1.5 years after their debut, the K-pop group underwent a major lineup change with the recent exit of its oldest member. Previously, Yu Jun Won left the group before their debut.
More recently, the group’s agency PocketDol announced the departure of K-Soul from the group’s fan cafe. Fans were shocked to hear the news and some even criticized the label for it.
In response, the 24-year-old K-pop star took to Instagram to share his position and explain the situation to the concerned fans.
He wrote, “I have learned through the internet that the Korean agency PocketDol Studio has announced my departure from the group FANTASY BOYS on their official Daum Cafe.
From this point on, I will no longer have any association with PocketDol Studio or the group Fantasy Boys.”
K-Soul added, “I sincerely thank the fans who have supported and cheered for me. I will not make any further comments regarding the above.”
He has made few appearances in the early months of FANTASY BOYS and has been inactive since October 2023. He moved to China due to the deteriorating health condition of his grandmother and father.
Fans are criticizing the label for not communicating with K-Soul and making arrangements for him to be a part of the group.
Meanwhile, FANTASY BOYS gears up for a comeback next month. Further, they will team up with BAE173 for an exciting collaboration, expected to drop this spring.
