Kang Daniel Shuts Down KONNECT Entertainment

Kang Daniel

Kang Daniel shared his feelings about his agency, KONNECT Entertainment, closing down.

In May, it came to light that the 27-year-old idol filed a criminal complaint against Mr. A, the main shareholder of KONNECT. His legal team alleged that Mr. A signed a 10 billion won advance distribution contract without authorization.

On June 9, he officially announced the closure of KONNECT Entertainment in an emotional post shared on social media.

He began by saying, “My journey with KONNECT, which has been a barrier for me for the past five years and, on the other hand, helped me learn responsibility, has come to an end.”

Kang Daniel expressed gratitude to the staff who has worked with him over the years, “I am truly grateful to all the executives, employees, and officials who cried, laughed, and led KONNECT along the way.”

Furthermore, he alluded to the legal dispute with the shareholder and expressed disappointment that the journey concluded on a less-than-ideal note. He shared, “I am sad to end the last journey with bad news, but I will try to work hard and stay silent as I always have.”

He did not forget to thank his fans and promised to be by their side in the future.

In June 2019, Kang Daniel set up his solo agency, KONNECT Entertainment. The agency grew by bringing on board Chancellor, Yuju, and We Dem Boys (WDBZ).
