KATSEYE members Megan and Lara recently shared a very real fan moment while talking about BTS and their massive 2026 “ARIRANG” world tour.
During a relaxed Weverse live, Megan suddenly brought up the news. “Omg, BTS is going on tour,” she said, clearly excited. Lara immediately agreed, responding, “Oh yeah, they are.” The two spoke like fans first, not labelmates, as they reacted to the scale of BTS’s comeback.
The Chinese-American singer then shared a story that instantly felt familiar to ARMYs everywhere. She revealed that her mom is a huge BTS fan and went all out during ticket sales. “My mom is the biggest BTS fan,” Megan said, laughing. “She texted me, ‘I am going to get as many tickets as I’m able to.’”
According to Megan, her mom stayed awake until 6 a.m. Korean time just to join the ticket queue. When she later woke up and called her, her mom answered, “I’m waiting for BTS. I’m in line.”
Lara wondered if they might actually be able to attend the tour themselves. “I wonder if we will get to go, hopefully,” she said. Megan sounded confident. “I think we will,” she replied. She then admitted how surreal meeting BTS would feel. “I really wanna meet them. That’s insane. I would have so many questions.”
Lara didn’t hesitate to put it simply. “Those guys are legends,” she said.
During the livestream, Lara fondly recalled the moment of meeting j-hope, saying, “When we met our king J-Hope, it was the best thing ever. Megan agreed right away, adding, “Yeah, he was so sweet.”
Meanwhile, BTS’s “ARIRANG” world tour sold out 41 stadium dates immediately after tickets went on sale in late January. An estimated 2.4 million seats were sold immediately. Despite being under the same HYBE umbrella, Megan and Lara joked that there were no special perks when it came to tickets.
On the work front, BTS will drop their hugely anticipated album, ARIRANG, on March 20 and launch their world tour the following month. Meanwhile, KATSEYE recently lost the Grammy for Best New Artist to Olivia Dean. On the bright side, the global girl group will drop their upcoming EP soon.
