South Korean broadcasting network KBS has banned BIBI and Dean’s latest collaborative track, “Burn It,” due to inappropriate lyrics.
IZE confirmed today that BIBI’s forthcoming single “Burn It” (feat. Dean) failed to meet KBS’s broadcast standards. The decision was revealed in KBS’s music deliberation results, which were released on November 12.
The 26-year-old singer will release the double singles “DERRE” and “Burn It” (feat. Dean) on November 14.
KBS deemed the song unfit for broadcast due to lyrics containing profanity, vulgarity, and explicit expressions.
KBS’s music deliberation process permits artists to revise or remove contentious elements and re-submit their work for re-evaluation. Only songs deemed eligible through this process can be broadcast on KBS TV, radio, and other programs.
Moreover, the broadcasting network banned 3 songs from broadcasting, including BIBI’s “Burn It”, Jeon Woong’s “PIXEL”, and OLNL’s “finstagram”, citing abusive and vulgar language.
“DERRE” features two exciting tracks: “Burn It” with DEAN and the R&B dance title track “DERRE.” Jeon Jong Seo’s appearance in the “DERRE” music video is already making waves.
Ahead of her double single “DERRE” release on November 14, BIBI currently stars in SBS’s Friday-Saturday drama “The Fiery Priest 2”, which premiered on November 8, and the Disney+ original series “Gangnam B-side”.
