KBS has announced that G-Dragon’s popular song “HOME SWEET HOME” will not be allowed on their airwaves.

The song was released a day ahead of the BIGBANG leader’s performance at the MAMA Awards 2024 on November 23. The song has achieved a Real-Time All-Kill on Korean music platforms and features fellow bandmates Taeyang and Daesang.

G-Dragon’s newest release, “HOME SWEET HOME”, has been deemed unfit for broadcast by KBS, as stated in the network’s December 4 music deliberation results.

KBS cited a violation of Article 46 of the Broadcasting Deliberation Regulations. They specifically mention that the lyrics promote a specific product by name, which violates permissible advertising limits.

If the problematic parts are revised or deleted and resubmitted, the song will be re-evaluated. If it then meets broadcast standards, it will be cleared for broadcast.

What’s notable about “HOME SWEET HOME” is that G-Dragon created it for BIGBANG. The song is generating a lot of buzz and dominating the charts since all BIGBANG members worked on it. He previously released a single “Power” after 7 years of solo hiatus on October 31. The legendary K-pop star has plans to release new solo music and go on a tour.
