Kep1er is set to brighten the end of summer with their upcoming 7th mini album, BUBBLE GUM. On August 4, 2025, WakeOne Entertainment officially announced their summer comeback with the 7th mini album BUBBLE GUM, scheduled for release on August 19 at 6 p.m. KST.
The announcement came with a teaser poster featuring bold, candy-colored visuals, which suggests a return to the group’s playful pop concept.
This marks Kep1er’s first Korean release since TIPI-TAP in November last year after contract renewal and follows their Japanese EP Against the World, released in April 2025. That EP peaked at No. 2 on Oricon’s weekly album chart and included the title track “Yum.”
BUBBLE GUM marks Kep1er’s second Korean release as a seven-member group following Yeseo and Mashiro’s departure after their contracts were not renewed with WakeOne.
The current lineup consists of Choi Yujin, Shen Xiaoting, Kim Chaehyun, Kim Dayeon, Ezaki Hikaru, Huening Bahiyyih, and Seo Youngeun.
Ahead of the September comeback, member Youngeun announced a hiatus due to health concerns. As a result, she will not engage in any activities related to BUBBLE GUM, and focus on her health for the time being.
The teaser hints at a retro-inspired, high-energy sound, potentially drawing on the bubblegum pop elements heard in earlier hits like Giddy and Wa Da Da. No tracklist or music video details have been released yet, but concept photos and additional teasers are expected in the coming days.
In addition, Kep1er recently performed at Waterbomb 2025 and will take the stage at KCON LA on August 3 (local time).
Meanwhile, Kep1er will drop BUBBLE GUM on August 19, ahead of their upcoming concert tour Into the Orbit: Kep1asia, which launches on September 20 in Seoul.
The tour will continue with performances in Fukuoka on October 3, Tokyo on October 10 and 11, and Kyoto on December 12 and 13.
