Rookie boy group KickFlip is off to a flying start! Their debut album “Flip It, Kick It” has made a splash in the K-pop scene, recording the third-highest first-day sales among all boy group debut albums.
On January 20, JYP Entertainment’s new group KickFlip debuted with the release of their first album “Flip It, Klick It.”
Their debut album “Flip It, Kick It” recorded 243,949 copies sold on the first day, the second highest by 5th-gen boy groups on Hanteo.
According to the Hanteo Chart, the top 3 highest first-day sales of debut albums by boy groups are led by ZEROBASEONE’s ‘YOUTH IN THE SHADE’ with an impressive 1,240,700 copies sold. X1’s ‘QUANTUM LEAP’ follows closely in second place with 268,008 copies sold. KickFlip’s debut album ‘Flip it, Kick it!’ secured the third spot with 243,949 copies sold.
With this, KickFlip recorded the highest 1st-day debut album sales by an artist under JYP Entertainment. Previously, the seven-member boy band made headlines by recording 300,000 pre-orders.
The album features six tracks such as “Mama Said”, “See You Tomorrow”, “Umm Great”, “Knock Knock”, “Warriors”, and “Like a Monster”.
In other news, Kickflip’s first mini album, “Flip It, Kick It!”, was released at 6 PM (Korean time) on January 20. The group also appeared on Mnet M2’s debut show at 7 PM, followed by a debut showcase at 9 PM.
