Kim Hye Yoon, Bona, and Shin Dong Yup will join as hosts for the prestigious year-end award ceremony!
On December 2, Star News exclusively reported that Kim Hye Yoon will join hands with Shin Dong Yup to host the SBS Drama Awards 2024. Later, Joy News reported that Bona from WJSN has joined the MC lineup. The award ceremony will take place at SBS Prism Tower in Seoul on December 21.
Notably, this is the first time the “Lovely Runner” actress will take over hosting duties at a year-end drama award. On the other hand, broadcaster and comedian Shin Dong Yup has been hosting the SBS Drama Awards for 7 years in a row.
Fans are looking forward to the fresh chemistry the new hosting trio will bring to the award ceremony.
Bona made a splash this year with her role in the TVING original series “Pyramid Game”. She’s set to make her terrestrial drama comeback in 2025 with a starring role in SBS’ upcoming drama “Return to Palace.”
On the other hand, Kim Hye Yoon and Byeon Woo Seok rose to global fame with her portrayal of Im Sol in tvN’s hit drama “Lovely Runner,” which concluded in May. The drama leads remain popular over half a year after the series finale.
She has already signed her next acting project “Human Starting From Today” opposite Lomon, which is scheduled for broadcast in 2025.
On another note, Kim Hye Yoon and Byeon Woo Seok are set to attend the 9th Asia Artist Awards (AAA 2024) in Bangkok, Thailand, on December 27. The event marks the reunion of the popular on-screen couple, affectionately known as the ‘Solsun Couple.’
