Kim Jae Joong and Kong Seong Ha are teaming up for an occult horror film!
The movie A Gentleman (tentative title, directed by Kazuyoshi Kumakiri) officially announced the cast on February 29. Filming will begin next month in Kobe, Japan.
A Gentleman is an occult horror film that follows the story of three college students who vanished after visiting an abandoned shrine in Kobe, Japan. Shaman Park Soo Jung, played by Kim Jae Joong, and his college classmate, played by Gong Seong Ha, try to uncover the identity of the evil spirit.
Kim Jae Joong portrays a shaman in the film. He’s a kind-hearted guy who graduated from art school. Even though he was reluctant, he accepted his calling from God and set up a shrine. They’ve revealed him as the dark hero, K Shaman.
She plays the role of a friend to Kim Jae Joong, who is in a difficult situation. He seeks the assistance of his fellow shaman, Park Soo Jung, to unravel the strange occurrences that he’s facing. The movie aims to deliver an immersive performance in a distinctive atmosphere.
This is director Kazuyoshi Kumakiri’s first Korean film. He previously won Best Picture, Best Screenplay, and Best Actress at the Shanghai International Film Festival for Yoko. His film Manhole was also invited to the Berlin International Film Festival and the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival.
