The 24-year-old actress is making an acting comeback 2 years after getting embroiled in a drunk-driving controversy.

On October 21, a Korean media outlet reported that Kim Sae Ron is filming a low-budget music film, helmed by director Shin Jae Ho, at Tapgol Park in Jongno-gu, Seoul.

An official from the production team confirmed her appearance in the movie, however, declined to comment on her role.

In April, she initially tried to revive her acting career with the play “Dongchimi.” However, Kim Sae Ron later withdrew from the play, citing health reasons.

Additionally, she sparked controversy in March when she shared an Instagram story featuring a close-up photo with actor Kim Soo Hyun.

There were reports that the “Snowy Road” actress is working as a part-time employee at a cafe in Seoul. However, the claims were later denied by the cafe owner, stating that she had never worked there at all.

Kim Sae Ron was arrested for drunk driving on May 18, 2022, in Seoul’s Gangnam district. Her blood alcohol level was 0.2%, exceeding the 0.08% threshold for license revocation.

After paying a 20 million won fine in April, she took a hiatus. However, rumors persisted, and her request for leniency due to financial difficulties was met with skepticism.
