The Kdrama actress’ acting career came to a halt when she was embroiled in a drunk driving incident. She was involved in a DUI accident in Seoul’s Gangnam District in May 2022. Kim crashed into multiple objects, including transformers, guardrails, and street trees. The impact damaged a transformer, causing a 3-hour power outage at 57 locations, including nearby shops.
Kim Sae Ron was removed from the acting projects she was part of and lost all the money compensating for the damages.
In March 2024, she caused quite a commotion by sharing an intimate photo with popular actor and her former labelmate Kim Soo Hyun, who was starring in the drama “Queen of Tears” at that time.

More recently, she has sparked wedding rumors by sharing a photo with a mysterious man on Instagram. The “Bloodhounds” actress captioned the post “Marry” and blurred the man’s face. Both were wearing black dresses and appeared to be close.

On the work front, Kim Sae Ron is set to resume her acting career with a low-budget music film. Details about her role in the movie are not known. She previously turned down a play, citing personal reasons.
