Kim Seon Ho has won the hearts of fans with his captivating performances on screen, and now, he’s winning praise for his kindness off screen.
The Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha actor has generously donated 100 million won from his fan meeting tour proceeds to support young individuals.
On May 8, the Korean Red Cross revealed that Kim Seon-ho donated 100 million won to support self-reliant youth this year, following his contributions from the previous year. The 38-year-old made the donation on his birthday and International Red Cross Day.
The sum was raised from his ‘2023 Asia Tour Fan Meeting’. Prior to the donation, he engaged fans in a voting process to determine the beneficiary. Consequently, he chose to support young individuals in their journey towards self-reliance.
His 100 million won donation last year supported 146 young people transitioning to independence, providing essentials like food, education, and medical care, as well as psychological support.
With this donation, Kim Seon Ho hopes, “I hope that young people preparing for independence ahead of a new start will take their first steps into society with anticipation rather than worry.”
On the work front, Kim Seon Ho is set to star in an upcoming drama, Can This Love Be Translated?,
