BTS’s V, also known as Kim Taehyung, is set to appear on the South Korean variety show Dingo Story. The show is known for giving fans memorable surprises by arranging meetings with their favorite celebrities.
In each episode, family members or friends can request a special encounter for someone going through a tough time. The celebrity then spends a day with that person, bringing encouragement and support.
Fans are excited to see what kind of joy V will bring during his time on the show. Even the sneak peek photos released on Dingo Story’s official social media, though blurred, have created buzz. The suspense is high as fans eagerly wait to find out which lucky ARMY will get to spend the day with him.
V will spend time with a chosen fan on Dingo Story on August 31, 2023, at 6:00 PM KST. His appearance on the show is part of a busy August as he promoted his debut solo album, Layover, which will be released on September 8.
The promotional campaign included two music videos released ahead of the full album. On August 10, he dropped the MV for his R&B track “Love Me Again,” followed by the alternative pop and R&B song “Rainy Days” on August 11.
The latter featured soothing sounds of rain and everyday white noises that highlighted V’s unique voice. Layover itself features six tracks, including the title song “Slow Dancing,” a blend of pop and R&B led by V’s soulful tones. The creative direction for the album involved Min Hee Jin, the creative director behind NewJeans.
The 28-year-old singer appears on the show just over a week before his album release. It allows him to connect directly with fans in a meaningful way.
Meanwhile, BTS is on hiatus as three members (Jin, j-hope, and SUGA) have begun military service. Members will continue solo activities till all of them complete mandatory military service.
