As reported by Star News on June 4, the 24-year-old actress has landed a role in an upcoming drama Dear X.
Dear X follows the story of the country’s top actress, Baek Ah Jin, as she experiences her downfall and grapples with her secretive identity.
In the drama, Kim Yoo Jung is to portray Baek Ah Jin, a sociopath with a charming facade and a seemingly kind nature. However, she ruthlessly exposes her dark side to punish those who cross her. She manipulates those around her to achieve her desires.
Dear X will be directed by the acclaimed director, Lee Eung Bok. He is popular for directing popular shows including Descendants of the Sun, Sweet Home, Goblin, Mount Jiri, Dream High, and more.
Furthermore, it will be produced by Monster Reunion.
In other news, Kim Yoo Jung starred in the Netflix original series Chicken Nugget, which premiered in March.
