By now, it is not surprising at all that KISS OF LIFE will release new music in the summer!
The 4-member K-pop group often releases summery, refreshing music to claim the “Summer Queen” title. While their previous summer release “Sticky” is still charting on the domestic chart, they are gearing up to release new music.
On May 19 at midnight (KST), S2 Entertainment dropped the “Awakening” trailer for their upcoming album “224”, releasing in June.
This comeback is happening approximately eight months after the group released their 3rd EP “Lose Yourself” in October 2024. More recently, KISS OF LIFE released a special single “Kiss Road” on May 7, containing three tracks (“Live, Love, Laugh”, “W.House”, and an instrumental version of “Live, Love, Laugh”).
The group has achieved career highs with each release, therefore, expectations are high for “224”. KISS OF LIFE’s big break came with the single “Midas Touch” last year, which earned them their first Billboard 200 entry.
It was their digital single “Sticky” released in July 2024, that really put them on the map. After the release of “Lose Yourself”, they announced their first world “Kiss Road”. The tour opened with two shows in Seoul last October. As part of their world tour, KISS OF LIFE performed in America, Canada, the UK, Italy, France, Germany, Spain, and several Asian countries.
They will officially wrap their world tour with encore concerts on July 19-20 at Jangchung Arena. Since they will release their new album “224” next month, the group will perform new songs at their upcoming concert. In other news, they pulled out of KCON LA 2025 after the organizers and S2 Entertainment did not reach a mutual agreement. Most fans believe it was due to the controversy surrounding their racially insensitive behavior on the member Julie’s birthday.
Meanwhile, KISS OF LIFE will release a new mini-album “224” on June 9 at 6 PM KST.
