In the midst of the HYBE-ADOR conflict, BTS has been embroiled in allegations of chart manipulation, ties to a cult, and numerous other accusations. The group is under a negative spotlight, leading to ARMY’s distress and calls for action from HYBE to protect their artists.

In a recent development, the Korean Government is set to investigate chart-rigging allegations surrounding BTS. The group has taken the music industry by storm, but now their success is under scrutiny.

A formal complaint seeking an inquiry into suspicions of music hoarding involving BTS has been forwarded to the appropriate agency for investigation. Furthermore, another complaint was lodged to revoke the Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism award given to BTS.

On May 2, the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism received the complaint. They intend to pass it on to the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA), an affiliated organization that manages a platform for reporting music hoarding.

Upon confirming the information, the authorities will reach out to BIGHIT MUSIC regarding the raised issue. Subsequently, the allegations will be investigated thoroughly by seeking collaboration from investigative agencies through the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism.

The suspicion of music hoarding involving BTS arose when details from a blackmail case in January 2017 were revealed.

It was mentioned that the person who filed the complaint expressed concerns about potential illegal marketing activities by BIGHIT MUSIC, which might have occurred even before January 11.

Additionally, a complaint was received to revoke the Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism’s commendation given to BTS in October 2016 for their role in advancing the Korean Wave.

Lastly, this situation has upset the ARMYs, who are now calling for an apology from authorities given BTS’s contributions to K-pop.
