Attention is growing around PD Na Young Seok’s next Netflix variety show, as reports suggest an unexpected group of stars may be coming together. Actor Lee Chae Min, ALLDAY PROJECT’s Tarzzan, DAY6 drummer Dowoon, and singer-songwriter Car, the Garden are all said to be in talks to appear on the new series.
According to a report released on December 18, the four are being considered for a Netflix variety show produced by PD Na Young Seok. The project is still in the discussion stage, and nothing has been finalized yet. A Netflix representative confirmed this, saying the show is currently under review.
What’s drawing attention is the unusual lineup. The four come from very different backgrounds, and they have never worked together before.
The show’s concept is also expected to be different from PD Na’s usual formats. Instead of travel or game-based variety shows, the new series is said to focus on the cast’s struggles. Reports suggest it may involve physical or manual labor, though specific details have not been revealed.
Lee Chae Min has been gaining popularity after starring in tvN’s drama Bon Appétit, Your Majesty. Born in 2000, he previously appeared in Crash Course in Romance and See You in My 19th Life, and is also known as a Music Bank MC.
Tarzzan, whose real name is Lee Chaewon, was born in 2002 and is a rapper, model, and dancer. He debuted in 2025 as a member of the mixed group ALLDAY PROJECT and quickly earned attention as a “monster rookie.” Before his debut, he won international contemporary dance competitions, including one in Berlin in 2022.
Dowoon, born in 1995, is best known as the drummer and a vocalist of DAY6. He debuted after only three months of training at JYP Entertainment. Alongside his music career, he has shown a sharp and humorous side through appearances on variety shows and solo activities.
Car, the Garden, whose real name is Cha Jungwon, was born in 1990 and has been active for over a decade. His stage name comes from a direct translation of his name. He is known for his calm, indie-style music and has worked on many popular drama soundtracks, including Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha. He has also gained attention for his relaxed and witty presence on variety programs.
This potential series would add to PD Na Young Seok’s growing lineup with Netflix. His first Netflix project, Three Idiots in Kenya, starring Lee Soo Geun, Eun Ji Won, and Kyuhyun, premiered in November. Another show, Lee Seo Jin’s Dalla Dalla (also known as Ready or Not: Texas), is scheduled for release in February 2026.
At earlier press events, PD Na explained that Netflix encourages new ideas but also values shows that feel comfortable and enjoyable for viewers.
For now, the casting and concept remain unconfirmed. Still, the possible combination of Lee Chae Min, Tarzzan, Dowoon, and Car, the Garden has already excited fans.
