The dreamy pair from “Youth of May” might be back together on-screen!
Lee Do Hyun and Go Min Si swooned audiences with their romance and undeniable chemistry in the 2021 drama “Youth of May. They are reportedly in talks to star alongside each other once more in an exciting new project from Hong Sisters.
The project is yet untitled and previously, Cha Eunwoo was approached for a lead role. However, the ASTRO member has declined the offer, and the makers are now considering Lee Do Hyun for the lead role. “The Glory” actor is set to complete service in May 2025 and resume the filming of his acting projects.
As reported by Sports Chosun on April 2, the Hong sisters are working on a new drama, and Lee Do Hyun is likely to star as the main character. Go Min Si, his co-star from “Sweet Home” and “Youth of May,” may also join the cast. His agency YUEHWA Entertainment confirmed that he has received the casting offer for the drama.
Hong Sisters are known for “Alchemy of Souls”, “Hotel del Luna”, “A Korean Odyssey”, and more. Their upcoming drama “Can This Love Be Translated?” starring Kim Seon Ho and Go Yoo Jung is slated for release in 4Q of 2025.
Details about the drama’s plot are kept under wraps, but the script is getting attention for being penned by the Hong Sisters, Hong Jeong Eun and Hong Mi Ran.
This is not the first time the 29-year-old Kdrama actor has worked with the Hong sisters. He previously collaborated on the drama “Hotel Del Luna” starring IU. His good looks and acting skills fit the story perfectly, and people praised his performance.
Lee Do Hyun rose to fame with his memorable roles in “The Glory”, “Exhuma”, “18 Again”, “The Good Bad Mother”, and “Sweet Home”. On the other hand, Go Min Si has proven his acting skills in “The Frog”, “Youth of May”, “Sweet Home”, and more. She is set to star in a romance drama “Tastefully Yours”, opposite Kang Ha Neul.
Meanwhile, Lee Do Hyun is set to be discharged from military service on May 14 and will begin filming with Go Min Si if the casting is finalized.
