Talented actor Lee Jae Wook has been confirmed to star in an upcoming 8-episode Netflix series. This will be his second time collaborating with the streaming giant.
On April 4, Log Studio confirmed to Newsen that Lee Jae Wook will be starring in the upcoming Netflix series ‘Honey Jar Project’ (working title). The agency did not reveal any details about the 8-episode series, filming schedule, and broadcast plans.
The upcoming drama, ‘Honey Jar Project’, is a gripping black comedy horror fantasy series. It is being produced by Shortcake, a renowned production company led by director Han Jun Hee (‘D.P.’ and ‘Coin Locker Girl’).
Meanwhile, director Kim Da Min, who directed the film ‘FAQ’, is at the helm of ‘Honey Jar Project’.
Lee Jae Wook completed the filming of the Netflix series “Dear Hongrang” with Jo Bo Ah last year. The drama is scheduled to be released on Netflix in the second quarter of this year (April to June).
The drama “Dear Hongrang” follows the story of Hong Rang (Lee Jae Wook), heir to a wealthy merchants’ association. He disappeared at age 8, and twelve years later, he returned with no memories of his past. His sister Jae Yi (Jo Bo Ah) starts to question his true identity and suspects that this stranger might be an imposter.
Lee Jae Wook has emerged as a talented Kdrama actor with his roles in hit Kdramas like “Alchemy of Souls”, “Extraordinary You”, “Death’s Game”, “The Impossible Hier”, and more.
Meanwhile, Lee Jae Wook is currently appearing in tvN’s variety show “Fresh Off the Sea” and is also set to star in the upcoming Netflix series “Dear Hongrang”, releasing in the coming months.
