As reported by Xports News on November 27, Lee Jin Hyuk is exempt from military service due to health reasons related to a congenital heart condition.
He underwent surgery as a child to address symptoms caused by a malfunctioning heart valve. Since then, Lee has been undergoing regular medical checkups. Notably, he openly discussed his condition on MBC’s “Radio Star” in 2019.
The 28-year-old singer has been deemed unfit for military service due to his ongoing health issues. Reports suggest that he continues to undergo regular medical checkups and is actively managing his chronic condition.
Born in 1996, he first rose to fame as a member of the K-pop group UP10TION in 2015. Recently, Lee Jin-hyuk has been making waves with his acting skills, featuring on popular shows like “Frankly Speaking,” “Why Her,” “Dear M,” and Coupang Play’s “SNL Korea.”
