Lee Jong Suk has officially canceled his upcoming fan meeting in the Philippines because of safety concerns. His agency, Ace Factory, announced on November 17 that the Manila stop of his 2025 Asia Fan Meeting Tour, titled With: Just Like This, will no longer be held. The event was originally planned for November 30 at the Araneta Coliseum.
The agency said the cancellation was due to “unforeseen circumstances.” They later explained that the real reason was the large protest scheduled in Manila on the same day.
The city is currently seeing major demonstrations linked to corruption issues in the government’s flood prevention project. The protests have grown in size, and the agency felt it was too risky to move forward.
Ace Factory said the decision came after careful discussion, stressing that the safety of fans, the artist, and all staff members had to come first. They added that they hope Lee Jong Suk can meet his Filipino fans again soon.
We ask for your deep understanding, as this decision was made after careful consideration, with the safety of fans, the artist, and all staff as our top priority due to a rally scheduled on the same day.
We sincerely apologize to all the fans who were looking forward to this fan meeting, and we ask for your understanding for the inconvenience caused by this cancellation. We truly hope that Lee Jong Suk will be able to visit his fans in the Philippines again in the near future.
Local promoter Wilbros Live also released a statement confirming the cancellation. They shared refund information to help fans who already bought tickets.
Those who paid with credit or debit cards will be refunded automatically by TicketNet. This process may take about two to four weeks. Fans who bought tickets with cash can visit the TicketNet office at the Araneta Coliseum between December 15 and 21 to get their refund.
The protest that caused the cancellation is part of a bigger movement happening across the Philippines. The demonstrations are known as the “Trillion Peso March.”
People are calling for answers after thousands of flood control defense projects were found to be incomplete, poor in quality, or not done at all. Manila held a large protest back in September, and the upcoming gathering is expected to be just as big.
Even though the Manila stop is canceled, Lee Jong Suk is still continuing the rest of his Asia tour. He already kicked off the tour in Seoul and will meet fans in Tokyo, Osaka, Taipei, Bangkok, and Hong Kong.
On the work front, many fans are also looking forward to his next drama, The Remarried Empress, which is set to air in 2026.
