Lee Junho, a member of the K-pop group 2PM and an actor, joined the Fruit of Love Honor Society on June 19.
He attended a membership ceremony at Shinhan Bank’s headquarters in Seoul, recognizing his significant donation of over to the Fruit of Love Community Chest of Korea.
The Honor Society acknowledges and honors individuals who have made over 100 million won donations to the organization.
Upon receiving the certification plaque, Lee Junho shared, “As an Honor Society member, I am grateful to be able to participate in some small way in creating a better world. I want to continue to do my best to create warm changes by sharing the love I have received.”
The funds provided by him will be used to help underprivileged children abroad.
Back in 2011, the King The Land actor partnered with the global humanitarian organization World Vision by supporting children in Ethiopia and Ghana through sponsorship.
In July 2012, he was appointed as a public relations ambassador for World Vision, and for the past 13 years, he has been actively lending a helping hand. During his solo concerts in 2015, 2017, and January of this year, booths promoting the child sponsorship program were set up.
The donation was used to support a drinking water initiative in Ethiopia and offer emergency relief funds for children affected by COVID-19. In addition, he engaged in various charitable endeavors, including donations to local children and participation in campaigns.
On the work front, Lee Junho is set to star in Netflix’s Superhero series, Cashero.
