Lee Junho parted ways with JYP Entertainment after 17 years to launch his own one-man agency, O3 Collective.
In March, the 2PM member left JYPE; however, the label still manages his activities in Japan. Around five months later, he established his own independent label, which is becoming increasingly common in K-pop.
In an announcement on August 18 (KST), O3 Collective laid out a clear vision built on three pillars—“One” (artist identity), “Original” (content originality), and “Orbit” (an adaptive management system).
O3 Collective is a collaborative brand system where artists, content, and team equally take center stage. Together, we aim to design and realize collective growth and expansion.
Like a veiled yet powerful force shielding the Earth’s atmosphere, our collective presence is grounded in deep insight, connection, and inspiration. Together, we create culture and aspire to transform the air of our time.
Former CJ ENM executive Yang Hye Young, who previously worked in the Brand Strategy Office and Performance Business Division, has teamed up with the idol actor as a co-founder.
Junho, who debuted in 2008 with 2PM, has since built a dual reputation in music and acting. His acting debut was in the acclaimed thriller Cold Eyes, followed by standout TV roles in Chief Kim, The Red Sleeve, and King the Land.
On the acting front, Lee has two highly anticipated dramas this year: Cashero and Typhoon Company.
In the upcoming tvN drama Typhoon Company, Junho plays Kang Tae Poong, a privileged heir thrust into the role of CEO during the 1997 IMF crisis when his father’s small company collapses. Directed by Lee Na Jung (Fight for My Way, Mine), this drama’s release date has been moved up due to rising excitement. Typhoon Company, consisting of 16 episodes, will air on October 4 and conclude in late November.
Cashero, on the other hand, is a Netflix original superhero series based on a webtoon. Junho plays a regular civil servant who unexpectedly acquires the ability to gain strength equivalent to the money he has on hand.
With O3 Collective now in place, he is now set to channel his artistic vision under his own independent agency. Junho will also launch his second-generation fan community on Weverse on August 19.
He is following in the footsteps of many K-pop stars who have established personal labels in the past.
Three BLACKPINK members Jennie, Lisa, and Jisoo have set up Odd Atelier, LLOUD, and Blissoo; Baekhyun (INB100) and D.O. (Company Soosoo) have done the same, along with names like Kang Daniel (KONNECT, although it is now shut down) and Zico (KOZ).
