Lee Sung Kyung is going to make a special appearance in the JTBC Saturday-Sunday drama Doctor Slump.

On February 11, JTBC dropped a still cut announcing Lee Sung-kyung’s special appearance. She’s going to play the role of Yeo Yeong-woo’s (Park Hyeong-sik) former girlfriend and Nam Ha-neul’s (Park Shin-hye) jealousy-inducing person.

Lee Sung Kyung collaborated with producer Oh Hyun-jong on Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo, and because of their connection, she decided to make a special appearance in Doctor Slump. The production team even announced that Lee Sung-kyung readily accepted the offer and they’re really grateful.

In the photo, Lee Sung Kyung was dressed in a school uniform. She had a shy moment and spoke to Yeo Jeong-woo from across the desk partition. Interestingly, they coincidentally reunite with the main characters after a 14-year gap.

The production team mentioned that Lee Sung Kyung’s previous experience working with Park Hyungsik and Park Shin Hye helped her lead the scene cheerfully.

They also mentioned that despite having a short appearance, Yeo Jeong-woo will show a powerful presence that goes beyond just a special appearance.

On another note, Lee Sung Kyung appeared on Suchwita and talked about how she became friends with BTS’ SUGA.
