Lim Ji Yeon has been in high demand lately, with a string of notable roles in Korean films and dramas. However, it looks like she won’t be adding one particular project to her filmography.
The 34-year-old Kdrama actress was in talks to star in the comedy movie “Wild Thing” (working title), which also stars Um Tae Goo and Kang Dong Won.
According to her agency Artist Company on January 23, “Lim Ji Yeon declined to appear in the movie ‘Wild Thing’ due to scheduling conflicts.”
‘Wild Thing’ tells the story of Triangle, a once-popular three-member co-ed group that reunites after a mysterious incident led to their sudden disappearance.
The film “Wild Thing” is helmed by director Son Jae Gon, known for his work on “Secret Zoo” and “Villain and Widow”. The project has generated significant buzz, particularly with the casting of prominent actors Kang Dong Won and Uhm Tae Goo.
Additionally, production company About Film, which was behind the hit movie “Extreme Job” that drew in 16.26 million viewers, is also on board.
Lim Ji Yeon was in talks to star as the female lead opposite Kang Dong Won and Uhm Tae Goo but ultimately decided not to join the project.
She rose to fame with her portrayal of Park Yeon Jin in the Netflix hit series “The Glory” and has starred in many hit series. He recently appeared in the movie “Revolver” and currently starring in JTBC’s “The Tale of Lady Ok”, which is set to conclude on January 26.
