On October 18, OSEN exclusively reported that Jung Hae In has received an offer to lead a Japanese drama.

Later, his agency FNC Entertainment confirmed the reports to Top Star News, saying, “The Japanese drama is among the projects that have been offered to us.”

The “Love Next Door” actor previously collaborated with renowned Japanese film director Takashi Miike on the Disney+ original series “Connect” (2022). This joint Korean-Japanese production, planned and produced by Studio Dragon, premiered at the 27th Busan International Film Festival.

It is not new for Korean and Japanese actors to appear in each other’s works. Recently, Chae Jong Hyeop made his Japanese drama debut in “Eye Love You”, while Lee Se Young is currently starring alongside Kentaro Sakaguchi in “What Comes After Love“.

2024 has been an amazing year for him so far, achieving box office success in both film and television. His movie “Veteran 2,” released during Chuseok, drew 7.4 million viewers. Additionally, his romantic comedy drama “Love Next Door,” which debuted strongly and ended with an 8.5% peak rating.
