Amidst all the April Fool’s Day fun worldwide, April 1st was a big day for K-pop fans as several soloists and artists made their comebacks.
TXT, Lucas, BABYMONSTER, and QWER returned to the music scene with new music. While TXT’s minisode3: TOMORROW became a million seller on day 1, albums from Lucas, BABYMONSTER, and QWER also performed well on the charts.
Lucas, who debuted as a soloist and returned to the music scene after leaving NCT, released 1st single titled Renegade on April 1. The ex-NCT member managed to sell 5,373 copies on day 1 and the sales are expected to increase in the coming days.
On the other hand, after a long wait, BABYMONSTER debuted as a 7-member group with Ahyeon’s return. Their debut mini album, BABYMONS7ER, sold 70,888 copies on release day. In addition, the music video of their title track, SHEESH, exceeded 26 million YouTube views.
Last but not least, QWER made a comeback with their first mini album, MANITO, on April 1. QWER’s MANITO sold 2,809 copies on its first day.
These sales figures are just for the first day, they are likely to increase in the upcoming days.
