Moonbyul from MAMAMOO is finally releasing her first solo full-length album after approximately 9 years and 8 months since her debut.
Her agency RBW announced on January 23 that her first solo album, titled Starlit of Muse, will be released on February 20th. The album is said to capture Moonbyul as a solo artist, shining brightly like the starlight that adds color to the night sky.
Moonbyul’s first solo full-length album, Starlit of Muse, has a special meaning behind its title. It’s been approximately nine years and eight months since Moonbyul’s debut, so this album holds a lot of significance.
Starlit of Muse literally translates to “Starlight of the Muse.” It’s a clever play on words because Moonbyul is not only a muse herself, but the title also represents the completed work, or starlight, created by Moonbyul as the muse.
Along with the comeback announcement, MAMAMOO’s official social media accounts shared a logo motion video. The video gives a glimpse of the atmosphere of Moonbyul’s first full-length album. It’s filled with symbolic objects like flowers, turtles, and stringed instruments, representing the nine muses from ancient Greek and Roman mythology who govern music and art.
Moonbyul’s first solo full-length album, Starlit of Muse, is dropping on all major music platforms on the 20th of February.
